We listen, act, and transform
I use a person-centered approach focusing on the client, not the diagnosis. I believe all people are different, therefore we need to understand the individual to treat the diagnosis. I believe each individual has the capacity for personal growth and/or change.
I work with clients facing challenges with anxiety, depression, eating disorders, body image concerns, self-esteem, etc. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to help you identify maladaptive thinking that often plays into these diagnoses. I work to help you identify your strengths in order to overcome negative thoughts and behaviors.
